How to Make a room escape game?

When I was little, my sister and I often played this game of trying to escape from a room. It is the same feeling as the one you get when watching movies like The Shawshank Redemption and knowing that you’re actually rooting for them to succeed in making an escape; or during Saw, where you find yourself shouting at the characters to do exactly what they did not want to do because it will save their lives. Escape rooms are popular not only because it gives ‘real life’ entertainment but also because there are just so many lessons that can be learned from these experiences. Here are the top three reasons why every company should have their own escape room:

A lesson on team building

Building work culture is no easy feat. Every company has its own way of fostering a strong and healthy work ethic. While over the years, it is already common practice for companies to organize team building activities, all these experiences are still not capable of bringing employees together like an escape room can. The objective in this game is to get out of a locked room or place that you’re trapped in by working as a team and using every individual’s strengths and skills and using their specific roles and responsibilities to achieve the goal. Employees need this kind of experience because they will learn how important it is to become an active member of the group rather than becoming its leader; something that will develop emotional intelligence among the employees themselves.

A lesson on time management

This one may sound cliché but it is true that time flies when you’re having fun. People who are participating in escape rooms rarely realize how much time went by because they are so engrossed with the problem at hand. These games teach players to value their time and make the most out of it. There are clues inside an escape room but only once every minute or so, which means you have to be very observant and should take advantage of every opportunity given to you as soon as possible if you want to win. You should also learn how not to get discouraged easily but instead focus on making progress every day – even just a little bit is good enough!

Being able to hold yourself back from giving up easily is something that employers always look for in new hires so this game will teach you that patience is a virtue.

A lesson on problem-solving skills

It takes more than just instinct to solve puzzles nowadays – it also requires critical thinking and the desire to find out why things are the way they are now. Escape room players need to know how to recognize clues, understand coded messages, utilize tools correctly, etc., in order to succeed. They also have to go through trial and error before finding the right solution so they will learn how it’s not about being wrong but rather making mistakes. Through escape rooms, individuals can develop their ability to be resourceful which allows them to think outside of the box for answers instead of relying on others too much especially without knowing or understanding what’s really going on first or what is required of them.

These are only three of the many things that escape rooms can teach people about teamwork, problem-solving skills, and time management – there are many more lessons to learn from this game though! If you still do not have your own escape room yet, it is never too late to start planning on how you want yours to look like and what kind of storyline will be running throughout it. A successful room escape game requires creativity, imagination, patience, and lots of dedication so think thoroughly before deciding on anything for your project.
