How To Start Your Dream Startup

How To Start Your Dream Startup

Almost everyone has dreamed of starting their own business at some point, or had an idea for a product or service. We all have ideas that we think will make us more money.

For many, they also thought about making a positive impact on the world. However, the problem for most people is that they don’t have the skills, time or money to do it.

So, the question comes, how do you grab the opportunity with both hands and start your own business? – Even if you don’t have a lot of experience, a lot of financial support or the right connections. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Don’t delay – act now

First, start your business today even if it is like the international B2B marketplace!

Most of us make the mistake of thinking that we should quit our current job and focus all our resources, time, and energy on our new beginning. We think it’s “all or nothing” and there’s no point in starting a business half-heartedly – it will fail.

That is not true.

Of course, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t start your new business on weekdays and weekends.

Even if you are registering your company and starting to operate as a bare bones business, it is best to test whether your idea has potential before investing time and money in it.

One of the easiest ways to do this is to create a simple website and fill it with great content that describes your work or showcases your products. Start small and grow gradually. You will soon find out if your idea has any potential.

One of the most important things is to start now!

If you don’t start, you won’t know. Only then will you find out if you will get a full-time salary, and then you can consider leaving your current job.

Develop the smallest possible inventory

If you don’t know the importance or “possibility” of your idea, consider creating a minimum viable product (MVP). This way, you can test your business model before making a big investment. You can also see if it is possible to make quick money from it. You may have a look at the Chinese B2B platform

Don’t make the mistake of investing a lot of time and money into a business idea that you have no proof that it will work.

Likewise, don’t try to perfect your product before releasing it, it will delay your business. It will never be perfect. Your customers will quickly tell you what they want, and you can refine that idea while it’s alive.

Start a business

Another reason why many people delay starting their dream business is that they don’t have the capital they think they need.

For example, if you are planning to sell a product that you have designed, then you may think that you have to invest and save a large quantity (also known as the minimum quantity – MOQ).

This is not entirely true. One way to solve that problem is to start your business with multiple sources of income. Find ways to start making money from other services (or products), and once you get more money, you can invest it in more research and development (R&D) or buy your first advanced system.

Personal notes

I remember two times, once in my twenties and once in my thirties, when I was thinking of starting my own business.

Twice it was with someone else (who would be my business partner) and each time my partner “stopped” and made no progress. So I was never confident that I could do it – mostly because of the reasons mentioned above.

It wasn’t until I was in my forties that I took the leap and started my own company – all by myself!

Now that I’ve been running my own business for several years, it gets easier every day. When I first started, I have to admit that I often asked myself “Am I doing it right?” – the answer is yes.

Know what I know now. I wish I had done it in my twenties! So don’t be like me, start early, if you are older than me – never start.

I wish you luck in whatever you do.
