How Your Business Can Benefit From A Diamond Scanner?

How to Make a Diamond Scanner?

A diamond scanner will help you keep track of your finances and make sure you’re reaching your financial goals, whether they be simple like saving up enough money to buy a car or complex like leaving an inheritance to your children. So what’s so special about a diamond planner? First, it helps you look at your future long-term rather than in the short-term; second, it forces you to answer tough questions about how you want to spend your money; and third, it gives you something concrete to look back on down the road when evaluating whether or not your goals were met.

What is the Diamond Scanner?

The diamond scanner is an ingenious time-management tool that you can use during each step of your planning process. It’s created from a simple timer (such as an egg timer, kitchen timer, or even your phone) and some paper. First, set your timer for 20 minutes. The duration can be shorter if you’re just getting started with Diamond Planning or longer if you want to dig deeper into things. Then write down everything that comes to mind during those 20 minutes on a piece of paper in front of you—no matter how random it seems! When 20 minutes are up, put down your pen and reflect on what came out of that exercise: Did anything unexpected come up? What have I learned about myself? How could I use these ideas moving forward?

The Right Way to Create Your Weekly Diamond Template

You’re going to want a weekly planner that lets you think big picture while also making sure you’re paying attention to all of your day-to-day duties. To make that happen, here are our tips for creating diamond planners with both of those goals in mind. We’ll cover what information you should include on each page and how best to organize it all. And we’ll go through how your weekly layout is tied together by your monthly calendar layout, which you can adjust separately as needed. By including everything from calendars to habits in one place, you’ll have an organized solution that easily accommodates long and short term planning at every level. Now let’s get started!

Create Your Weekly To-Do List in the Diamond Scanner

Your Diamond Scanner will help you see all of your tasks, opportunities, and meetings for each day. It’s based on David Allen’s Getting Things Done (GTD) system, and it helps keep you organized. The Diamond Scanner works by dividing your planner into four quadrants. In each quadrant are two lists: Today/Not Today and Do/Schedule/Delegate. Your task list falls into one of these two categories—something that you need to do today or something that isn’t happening today but needs some attention (i.e., it might be scheduled). By having all of your tasks listed in one place, you can always see everything that needs to get done at a glance.

Create Long Term Goals in the Diamond Scanner

Before you start your Diamond Planning efforts, it’s worth scanning projects that have already reached the Diamond level in your studio. A Diamond Project has hit maximum earning for a studio; it’s also usually more complicated and heavily themed than many other projects (meaning, yes, you could learn something from it). Once you pick your favourite example of a maxed-out project and study how it was built, you’ll get an idea of what makes an object super popular in real life—and can begin planning what will make your next diamond. Create a Weekly To-Do List: No matter what type of game or experience you want to create, you’ll always need content on some level—so commit yourself to create at least one item every week. For larger virtual spaces like multiplayer games or online worlds, items should reflect player actions and activity inside those experiences: Create things like quests, events and temporary NPCs that players can interact with over time. For smaller games where interactions are controlled by developers rather than users (think chess boards), weekly tasks should focus on objects related to building out your virtual space instead: Create environments, characters and props designed specifically for player activity within your experience. Just because items take longer to build doesn’t mean they’re any less important!

Complete a Project with the Diamond Scanner

The first step is to complete a Project with your diamond scanner. Select New Project on your scanner’s LCD screen and it will bring up an image of a stylized diamond that you can use as an organizational guide. Input relevant information into each section (or sub-section) of your project plan, but remember that simplicity is key when creating a simple-yet-effective Diamond Planner. This will come in handy later when you go over your finished project with specific objectives, goals, and action steps in mind! It should be clear exactly what needs to be done, why it needs to be done, and how it needs to be done.
