METHOD 1: Updating the QuickBooks Program Manually

  1. Move on to the ‘Start’ menu of the Windows desktop.
  2. Locate the QB software. If you cannot find it, then search for the app in the ‘Search’ field.
  3. After you spot it, right-click on the QuickBooks icon and then tap on the ‘Run as Administrator’ option.
  4. In the next step, go to the ‘Help’ menu of the No Company Open Screen. If you do not know how to access that window, then click on the ‘Ctrl’ key and double-click on the QB icon.
  5. From the menu, select the ‘Update QuickBooks Desktop’ option.

METHOD 2: Updating the QuickBooks Application Automatically

  1. In the very beginning, run your QuickBooks Desktop.
