National Importance Combined Entrance Test (AIIMS INICET) 2024

The AIIMS INICET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test) is a highly competitive examination conducted by AIIMS New Delhi for admission to postgraduate (MD, MS, DM, MCh) and MDS courses at Institutes of National Importance (INIs) across India. The exam is conducted twice a year, in January and July.

Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS INICET

To be eligible for the AIIMS INICET exam, a candidate must:

  • Be a citizen of India.
  • Possess an MBBS degree from a university recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or Medical Council of India (MCI).
  • Have completed one year of internship or be in the final year of internship.

Exam Pattern of AIIMS INICET

The AIIMS INICET exam is a computer-based test (CBT) consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions. The exam is divided into two parts:

  • Part A: Contains 100 questions on preclinical subjects, including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology.
  • Part B: Contains 100 questions on clinical subjects, including Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics and gynecology.

The time duration of the exam is three hours.
